See the Difference: Personalized Eye Care That Puts You First

We believe eye care is about seeing people. That’s why we take the time to get to know you as a person, just as well as your eyes. You’ll never wait at a front desk because we always greet our patients right at the door.

At Verona Vision Care, we love to foster curiosity in kids and educate our adult patients. Our eye doctors take the time to listen and work with you to give you personalized solutions. Our opticians are passionate about finding the perfect pair to fit your lifestyle and vision needs.

Whether you’re visiting for a routine eye exam or to pick out some unique frames, we’re always happy to see you.

From Railways to Eye Care

We’ve proudly called Verona home since day one, and our location is deeply rooted in the community’s rich history. Just behind our clinic runs the Military Ridge State Trail—a scenic path that was once the railbed of the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad. Built in the 1880s, this line helped connect rural towns across southwestern Wisconsin, carrying goods, passengers, and progress to and from Madison. When the railroad was retired in the 1980s, the corridor was transformed into the trail we know today—an inviting space for walking, biking, cross country skiing and enjoying nature. We’re proud to share a stretch land that’s along that path, where we’ve restored a native prairie to reflect the area’s original landscape and natural beauty. Our office itself is designed to resemble a small railroad depot, honoring the legacy of connection and movement that shaped Verona’s past.

In that same spirit, we’re committed to keeping our community connected—sponsoring local events, school clubs, and organizations, and delivering personalized eye care that’s centered around you. To us, an eye exam isn’t just about your vision—it’s about taking the time to understand your lifestyle, your concerns, and your goals, so we can support your eye health in a way that truly fits your life. It’s our part in keeping Verona connected, just as the ‘Cannonball’, freight train once did.

Our History

We’re proud to be an independent, family-owned practice rooted right here in Verona. From the very beginning, our patients and community have been at the heart of everything we do. Your trust, support, and referrals have played a big part in helping us grow into the clinic we are today—and we’re truly grateful. From our family to yours, thank you for being part of our journey.

Take a look at our history and see how far we’ve come together!

Verona Vision Care was established in December 2006 by Dr. Tami Hunt and her husband, Jason. They started at 301 South Main Street, right across the street from the current location. There was just one full-time employee, and Dr. Hunt was only part-time. By the end of 2008, Dr. Hunt was at the office full-time.

With the community’s support, Verona Vision Care grew enough that Dr. Wilson was hired on a part-time basis in November of 2010. We opened up another evening and added all Saturday morning hours. We also realized the location was too small, so the Hunts started the search for a new office.

In January 2012, the ground was broken for the current building at 320 South Main Street. The building was finished, and the move across the street was done in early June.

With the continued growth of the practice in 2016, Dr. Wilson was able to start working at Verona Vision Care full-time.

We continued to grow and welcome new patients. In July 2019, Dr. Letlebo joined the practice on a part-time basis.

In 2022, we completed a remodel of the practice. We redesigned the optical and added 2 new exam lanes (bringing the total to 5). After the remodel, Dr. Letlebo started working full-time.

With the continued growth of the practice and the addition of Dr. Hunt’s new specialty Dry Eye Clinic, Dr. Holland joined us on a part-time basis in May 2025.

Insurance

We welcome patients who value personalized, high-quality eye care, whether or not they choose to use insurance or vision plans.

While we accept a wide range of insurance and vision plans, your insurance company or vision plan is the best resource for details regarding coverage, copays, and deductibles. That said, we’ll verify your insurance benefits prior to your visit to the best of our ability.

Please note: we are in-network providers for Quartz, but we are not in-network for GHC or Dean Health Plan HMO plans.

Many of our patients choose to receive care outside of their insurance network to ensure they receive the time, attention, and experience they deserve.

If you have any questions, feel free to give us a call before your visit at 608-848-5168.
